Gudhjem Museum

Glass from Bornholm

At Gudhjem Museum, art, history and nature come together in one place. A beautiful, protected station building from 1916 houses exhibitions with a local-historical theme. In a newer, spacious and light exhibition building from 1990, continually changing arts and crafts exhibitions are presented. In front of the museum there is a small sculpture garden, which leads down to a field of 1,5 hectares, which in 2021 was made into a butterfly habitat with wild plants. The exhibition “Glass from Bornholm” shows the high quality and great variation of contemporary glass art on Bornholm. Six artists show their works, which have been made with different techniques and with different forms of artistic expression.
