The Glas and Ceramic School Bornholm/Danmarks Designskole.
In Nexø, at Bornholm, Danmarks Designschool Bornholm is located. Formerly known as Glas og Keramikskolen. It is a 3 year education where you work concentrated with either glass or ceramic, in different ways. Right now at the school 10 students from the ceramic department work on their final project. The final project is going on for about 15 weeks and end up with an exam and exibitions around in Denmark and Sweden. Read the rest of this entry »
Ceramics and Land art

Inspired by the previous post on this blog, about ceramics in an urban context,
I would like to share an interesting exhibition experience from the opposite realm
of public space: the rural context. From November 2009 through March 2010 I’ve
been participating in Field Work, a project which aims to present site-specific art
installations in a field near Perth, Ontario, (Canada) for passers-by to stumble upon,
discover, journey to, and explore.
Alternative exhibition spaces

We are two ceramic artists who in our project “Street Ceramics” use the streets in Copenhagen as exhibition space (www.urbaneceramics.blogspot.com). We are working in an experimental way with ceramics that moves out from the gallery and relates to space and surroundings in the city.
